By using RARMS Medical Workforce & Telehealth Solutions you know that you working with one of the largest and most experienced medical workforce and telehealth providers, and that every dollar you spend goes to supporting our work to reduce health inequality in rural, remote and Indigenous communities.

MEDICAL WORKFORCE & TELEHEALTH SOLUTIONS

Rural and Remote Medical Services (RARMS) has been successfully recruiting permanent GPs, Locums and medical workforce for 20 years into the most difficult to supply locations in Australia.

As the demands of our clients evolved, RARMS became a leader in the supply of GP telehealth solutions by establishing the Remote GP Service (RGPS) in 2016.

Our permanent and temporary GP recruitment capabilities, combined with our virtual GP solutions, enables RARMS Medical & Workforce Solutions to supply your organisation with a range of integrated workforce solutions.

For example, RARMS is working with aged care providers to supply a monthly GP service on-site with day-to-day needs of residents supported by a team of virtual GPs experienced in aged care medicine.

RARMS philosophy and 20 years of experience in working with organisations to design bespoke solutions to workforce needs differentiates it in the marketplace.

Our philosophy is built around supporting GP practice and local health care, not replacing it.  We believe there remains a critical role for local GP-led health service delivery.  Our goal is to help organisations to bring the best mix of services to allows GPs to achieve a good work/life balance, patients to receive the right care in the right place at the right time, and organisations to meet their commitments to clients and stakeholders.

The unique elements of our approach includes:

  1. engaging with GPs, hospitals, aged care providers and health professionals directly to design bespoke solutions to ensure the service is responsive to practitioner and patient needs, and to build ownership and support;

  2. regularly surveying patients, GPs and other stakeholders to monitor satisfaction and performance and to feed into service improvement and communications;

  3. an integrated approach to service delivery allowing services to be mixed and matched which gives priority to patient needs, and continuity of care between the RGPS and local practitioners/VMO/hospital/aged care/community pharmacies in clinical record management and handover, so that practitioners retain engagement and ownership of patient care;

  4. providing practitioners experienced in the area of practice or region where they are providing services, be it in a major city or a remote community, to ensure that advice is provided that is relevant to the context of your patients.

  5. a scalable model that has been designed to ramp-up and down reflecting the sometimes cyclical nature of health service demand  (e.g. a short term relief for a local GP or responding to a national disaster).

The model has been designed by medical practitioners to support practitioner and patients to fill in the gaps in services, improve practitioner work/life balance and increase patient continuity of care any time of the day or night.

REMOTE GP SERVICE

The Remote GP Service is a direct-to-provider service.

At present, Medicare rebates are very restrictive for the provision of telehealth services.  For general practice, Telehealth is only available for patients in rural and remote areas and the criteria make it very difficult for patients to access the rebate.

To support health services, the Remote GP Services offers tailored package services to:

  1. General Practice for Short-Term or Long-Term Support and After-Hours Care

  2. Corporate Remote Medical Support

  3. Residential Aged Care Facilities GP admission and care services

  4. Home Care GP services for Home Care Package Providers

  5. Residential disability health services for NDIS providers

  6. Local Hospital for virtual VMO services, ward rounds, low acuity patient management and clinical administration

  7. Disaster Relief for provision of telehealth support services in bushfires, floods and other natural disasters

In developing services we work closely with you to design a service that meets your patients needs and your budgetary requirements.
