Warren is a town in central western NSW.  It is located on the Oxley Highway about 120 kilometres north west of Dubbo.  in 2016 Warren had a population of 1,530.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people made up 20.4% of the population.

Warren is located near the Macquarie Marshes, which is one of the largest semi-permanent wetlands in south eastern Australia. Containing extensive areas of reed, cumbungi, river red gum, coolibah and water couch grasslands, the Marshes support over 200 bird species.

Living in Warren provides doctors and health professionals with access to world leading NSW public school education system at Warren Central School, as well as St Mary's Catholic Primary School.

There is also the Sacred Heart Primary School which provides educational programs from kindergarten to year 6.

In Warren your dollar goes a lot further, giving you greater flexibility to continue your education, send your children to the top schools and universities, and take regular holidays.

Coolah is a high demand market for health and medical services. This means that doctors can earn as much, if not more, income compared to highly competitive and over-supplied city locations.

But it is a low-cost market for housing, with the median price around $119,500 compared to a median price in Sydney of $1.2 million.  This house (opposite) is on the market asking $370,000.  Highly paid doctors have the option to live in some of the most prestigious housing in town at an affordable price. Warren gives you the opportunity to practice in a bucolic country town with the convenience of accessing Australia's cosmopolitan centres.

RARMS IS PROUD TO BE A MEMBER OF THE FOLLOWING ORGANISATIONS

NSW Rural Doctors Network.png

Rural and Remote Medical Services Ltd was formed by the NSW Rural Doctors Network (RDN) to address the chronic shortage of doctors in rural and remote NSW.  Using the 'Easy Entry, Gracious Exit' model developed by RDN, RARMS has grown to support ten of NSW's most disadvantaged and vulnerable communities to attract and retain GPs over the last 20 years.  Now an independent charity, RARMS acknowledges the work and dedication of RDN and its officers and staff in helping to establish Australia's most successful rural and remote medical workforce solution.

Our Clinics are independently accredited by external medical experts so our communities can be confident in our care.
